These terms govern your use of MyPiece (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them; if you don't, please don't use it. They're written for a global audience — where local law gives you mandatory consumer protections, those apply and override anything inconsistent here.

MyPiece operates mypiece.shop, a free, global, editorial directory that maps jewellery districts and publishes site-created articles (together, the "Service"). It's an informational resource. The Service does not currently offer user accounts, user-generated reviews, or any marketplace or transaction functionality. We may add features in the future (see section 6).
You accept these terms by using the Site. We may change them from time to time; when changes are material we update the "Updated" date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
The Site is browsable without registration. Users can't create accounts, submit listings, or post reviews. Any future account features or submissions will be governed by updated terms.
The directory is compiled by MyPiece from its own research and, in some cases, public or third-party sources. We aim for accuracy but don't guarantee that any detail — names, addresses, hours, descriptions, map pin locations — is correct, complete, or current.
The Site uses Mapbox for mapping and may change mapping providers at any time. Map data and pin locations are approximate; verify them independently before relying on them. We're not responsible for errors in third-party data or for the consequences of relying on incorrect location or contact information.
MyPiece also offers a free "What stone is this?" gemstone identifier. It returns an AI-generated visual impression of the gem types a photo most resembles, for general information only — it is not an appraisal, authentication, grading, or professional advice, and must not be relied on for buying, insurance, or valuation decisions. Always confirm with a qualified gemmologist and an independent laboratory report.
The Site may link to third-party websites, services, or content we don't control and aren't responsible for. Using any linked service is at your own risk and subject to that third party's terms. The Site runs on third-party infrastructure (for example Vercel); we aren't liable for outages caused by those providers.
MyPiece displays advertising and uses third-party ad services (including Google AdSense). These vendors may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including based on your activity across sites. Our Privacy Policy explains this and how to opt out of personalised advertising.
Some pages — the district shelves — contain Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through one, MyPiece may earn a commission at no extra cost to you (as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases). Those purchases happen entirely on Amazon under Amazon's terms — MyPiece is not the seller, does not process the transaction, and is not responsible for the products, prices, availability, or fulfilment. We show no prices; the details shown on Amazon at the time of purchase govern.
The identifier tool sends the photo you submit to Google's Gemini API to produce its result, and displays example gem images loaded from Wikimedia Commons. Your use of those results and images is also subject to Google's and Wikimedia's respective terms; see our Privacy Policy for how the image you submit is handled.
Although the Service is currently free and limited to editorial content and the directory, MyPiece reserves the right to add, remove, or modify features (including paid listings, accounts, reviews, or marketplace functionality) at any time. Paid services, if introduced, will be described in updated terms.
The Site's design, text, graphics, logos, and other content created by MyPiece ("Site Content") are protected by copyright, trademark, and other rights and belong to MyPiece unless otherwise noted. The MyPiece name and logo are our trademarks.
You may view and download Site Content for personal, non-commercial use, keeping all proprietary notices intact. Any other use — copying, redistributing, creating derivative works, commercial use — needs our prior written permission.
If you believe your copyright has been infringed on the Site, email mypiecedirect@gmail.com with details so we can investigate.
Example gemstone images shown in the identifier are sourced from Wikimedia Commons under public-domain or CC0 licences and remain subject to their original sources. They illustrate a gem type, do not depict your item, and are not Site Content.
You agree not to use the Site to:

The Site and Service are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyPiece disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyPiece and the people who run it won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages (including lost profits or data) arising from your use of the Site. Where liability can't be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months — or, since the Site is free, a nominal sum.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyPiece from claims, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or your violation of these terms.
We may suspend or discontinue the Service (or any part) at any time, with or without notice, and may block users for misuse. Provisions that by their nature survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity — continue to apply.
Use of the Site may involve collecting some personal data. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect, how it's used, cookies and advertising vendors, and your rights (including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA rights where they apply). The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these terms by reference.
These terms are intended to be global. Where a mandatory local law applies to you as a consumer, that law governs to the extent required. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, these terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where MyPiece is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing here restricts mandatory local consumer protections.

We give notices by posting them on the Site. Legal notices to MyPiece should be sent to mypiecedirect@gmail.com.
These terms (with any documents referred to) are the entire agreement between you and MyPiece about the Site.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full force.
Failing to enforce a right isn't a waiver of it.
You may not assign your rights under these terms without our consent; we may assign ours.
